If bringing your chlorinator in, please note the front entrance for repairs is located down the driveway, on the lower level, at the front of the building. Off-street parking is available at the front of the property.

If you are unable to lift the chlorinator yourself, our friendly staff will be more than willing to assist you. Please let us know at the front counter.

N.B: Due to legal & electrical safety requirements, Power Supplies sent in for repair MUST have their outer cover.

How do I disconnect my chlorinator from the other pool equipment?
Turn OFF the power to all the pool equipment.
Close OFF any applicable valve before the Cell to prevent water going everywhere.
Unplug the pump plug, which is plugged into the bottom of the Power Supply.
Unscrew the Cell union nut(s).
Remove the Cell from the pipe work and rest on the ground.
Lift the Power Supply upwards and off its wall bracket.
(Please take care when lifting the Power Supply, as some can be as heavy as 15 Kgs or 33 lb)

What is the likely turn-around for the repair?
Generally, our turn-around is 24 – 48 hours, from the time of quote acceptance. In peak periods (October – March) times may vary slightly. Our friendly staff will advise you of any anticipated delays at the time of quotation.

What do I need to send to Aquamaid?
We require both the Cell and Power Supply in order to accurately assess, diagnose and quote a repair. For electrical safety and legal reasons, we also require the outer cover of the power supply to accompany all repairs sent in.

What if my chlorinator cannot be repaired or is unsafe?
Depending on brand, spare part prices vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Sometimes the cost of repairing an item exceeds the price of a brand new item; in this case it would not be economical to proceed with a repair. We will advise customers at the time of quotation, if this is the case and provide you with some options.

In cases where the chlorinator has exceeded a safe working life or has severe corrosion, a repair may not be possible due to electrical safety risks. We will advise customers at the time of quotation if this is the case and provide you with some options. A chlorinator deemed unsafe will be tagged with a danger label, which is a legal requirement.

Is there a warranty on repairs?
Aquamaid Pty Ltd offers a 3 month warranty only on the actual work carried out by Aquamaid Pty Ltd.
