Oasis V Series Variable Speed Pool Pump
🏷️ Brand
Oasis (Sunlover Group)
📝 Description
The Oasis V Series (V310, V390 and V480) are 240V variable speed pool pumps with a 3 speed DC motor and a 6 star energy rating, running at around 50 dB(A) and cutting pump running costs by up to 70% compared with a standard single speed pump.
A single speed pump works flat out all the time. The V Series runs on its low Eco speed for everyday filtration, then ramps up to Medium or High when you need more flow, which makes it ideal for pools with spa jets, water features or in-floor cleaning. Running at lower speeds most of the time also means a quieter backyard and a longer pump life.
The pump fits 40 mm or 50 mm PVC pipe with the supplied barrel unions, so it's a straightforward swap for most existing pool pumps.

💡 Before You Buy
-
Choose by flow. Match the pump to your filter's maximum flow rate. Bigger is not always better: too much flow can exceed your filter's rating.
-
Replacing a pump. Check the distance between the suction and discharge pipes on your old pump; the barrel unions make small alignment differences easy.
-
Power and safety. Plug into a weatherproof outlet with RCD protection (30 mA). Don't use an extension lead; if there's no outlet within 2 m, have an electrician install one.
-
Running a chlorinator? Plug the pump into your chlorinator's pump outlet as usual, and use the low speed for most of the filtration time.
🔧 Our Tips
-
Mount it right. Install the pump close to the pool on a firm, well-drained base raised above any flooding, with at least 100 mm clear behind the fan shroud for cooling.
-
Prime before starting. Fill the pump basket with water before switching on and never run the pump dry. The pump runs on High for 5 minutes at start-up to prime.
-
Hand-tight unions. Tighten barrel unions by hand only and don't use green "P" plumber's glue on them.
❓ Common Questions
-
What speed should I use? Eco for everyday filtration (typically about 8 hours a day), Medium for gentle spa jets and most suction cleaners, and High for backwashing, vacuuming and water features.
-
How much can it save? Oasis rates the V Series at up to 70% lower electricity use than a regular single speed pump.
-
Is it noisy? No, the DC motor runs at around 50 dB(A) on low speed.
