The Oasis Heat Junction 5 (HJ5, SLHJ5) is a 240V pump controller that runs your filter pump whenever either your chlorinator or your Oasis heat pump asks for water flow, so a heat pump can share the filter pump on a true one pump system without over-chlorinating the pool.
Heat pumps don't have their own water pump, so on a single pump pool the filter pump must be running for the heat pump to work. Normally that means running the chlorinator for longer too, which over-chlorinates the pool during long heat-ups. The HJ5 sits between them: the chlorinator keeps its own timer, the heat pump signals through its voltage-free HJ terminals, and the HJ5 runs the pump for whichever needs it.
An LCD shows what has called for the pump ("Heat On" or "CNTRL ON") and the pump status. The mode button switches between Auto, Manual (pump on, for backwashing or vacuuming) and Off, and it returns to normal operation by itself after a power cut. There's nothing else to program: temperatures and timers are set on the heat pump and chlorinator.

One pump or two? The HJ5 is for heat pumps sharing the filter pump with a chlorinator. If your heat pump has its own separate circulation pump, use the Oasis Heat Junction 3 (HJ3) instead.

Heat pump connection. The HJ5 needs your heat pump's voltage-free "HJ" or "dry contact" terminals. Check your heat pump manual for their location.

No electrician needed to set up. Everything plugs into standard power points; only the low-voltage two-core cable is wired to the heat pump terminals.
🔧 Our Tips

Plug in the right order. Plug the filter pump into the HJ5's PUMP socket, the HJ5's sanitiser lead into the chlorinator's pump socket, and the chlorinator straight into a power point.

Back to Auto. After backwashing or vacuuming in Manual mode, set the HJ5 back to Auto.

Mount it safely. Mount at least 3 m from the water's edge and 600 mm above the ground, ideally out of direct weather.

Why do I need this with a heat pump? A heat pump needs water flowing through it. The HJ5 runs the filter pump when the heat pump needs it, without making the chlorinator run longer.

Where do I set the temperature? On the heat pump. The HJ5 only sets the pump mode.

What happens after a power outage? It resumes normal operation automatically.
