The Zodiac TRi Large electrode (W197441) is the replacement salt cell for Large-size Zodiac TRi, TRi-XO, eXO iQ (including eXO iQ pH and eXO iQ Pro) and EL series chlorinators, rated at 35 g/h and fitting straight into your existing cell housing.
The genuine Zodiac electrode (W197441), is rated at 35 g/h with a 2 year Zodiac warranty. The generic is an aftermarket electrode (TRI-LGE-MAXI-G) made to suit Zodiac TRi Large chlorinators, rated to 35 g/h and a 2 year warranty.
When a salt cell wears out, chlorine output drops and the chlorinator will typically show a low-output warning or low salt warning. To determine if it's the cell or just your salt level, get your water salt levels tested. Replacing just the chlorine cell (electrode) restores chlorine production without buying a whole new chlorinator.
