📝 Description
Astral Viron AP 25 Active Glass Filter Media (57011) is a 15kg bag of fine grade, recycled glass filter media for pool media filters that filters down to 5 microns and captures around 30% more organic material than sand.
The glass is actively charged during manufacture. That negative charge lasts for the life of the media and attracts organic particles, giving clearer water than sand or conventional glass. Longer times between backwashes and shorter backwash cycles also help cut water use.
Fine grade forms the top layer of the media bed and does the fine filtering. It is used together with the Coarse grade glass media (57013), which covers the laterals at the bottom of the tank.
