The Astral SP78094 is the genuine replacement cartridge element for Astral / Hurlcon ZX250 and XC250 cartridge filters, and also suits Zodiac ZXC250 and Filtrite CF250 filters. It is 230 mm in diameter with a 75 mm centre hole.
This listing has two options. Astral / Hurlcon is the genuine Astral element (SP78094). Generic brand is a replacement element (HU250Z) made to suit Hurlcon ZX250 filters, open at both ends.
A cartridge element wears out over time. When it no longer cleans up, the pleats are torn or flattened, or filter pressure stays high straight after cleaning, it is time for a new one.
