Zodiac Ei 18 Chlorinator Cell / Electrode - Genuine or Generic

🏷️ Brand

Zodiac (genuine) / Generic option available

📝 Description

The Zodiac Ei 18 electrode (W197611) is the replacement salt cell for Compact-size Zodiac Ei 18 chlorinators, rated at 18 g/h. It is a reverse-polarity, self-cleaning electrode that fits into your existing Ei cell housing.

The genuine Zodiac electrode is part number W197611. The generic is an aftermarket electrode (EI18-G) made to suit Zodiac Ei 18 chlorinators.

When a salt cell wears out, chlorine output drops and the chlorinator will typically show a low-output or low-salt warning. To check whether it's the cell or just your salt level, get your water's salt level tested first. Replacing just the electrode restores chlorine production without buying a whole new chlorinator.

• Match the model. Check the model on your chlorinator label. This electrode suits the Ei 18 only; the Ei 25 uses the Zodiac Ei 25 Electrode (W197621).
• Ei Xpert, TRi, eXO iQ and EL are different. These chlorinators use the TRi-family electrodes, e.g. the Zodiac TRi Compact Electrode (W197411).
• Ei2 is different. Ei2 chlorinators use a complete cell, e.g. the Zodiac Ei2 Compact 18g Chlorinator Cell (R0710700).
• Electrode only. The housing, locking collar, clamp and seal gasket are not included. Check the o-ring and replace it if it is worn or flattened.
