Sunlover Solar Controller Roof / Hot Sensor 20m
🏷️ Brand
Sunlover (manufactured by Dontek for Sunlover)
📝 Description
The Sunlover SSS001 is a genuine digital roof (hot) temperature sensor with 20 m of cable for Sunlover solar pool heating controllers SL3, SL6, SL8, V2 & V7 and SLHC1, used to tell the controller when the roof collector is hot enough to start the solar pump.
The sensor sits on the roof next to the solar collector and reads the roof temperature. When the roof is warmer than the pool, the controller turns the solar pump on to heat the water.

💡 Before You Buy
-
Roof or pool sensor? This is the roof (hot) sensor with a long 20 m cable. The pool (cold) sensor with a short 2 m cable is a different part (SSS002).
-
Check the error code. Most Sunlover controllers show a code when a sensor fails (see Common Questions), which tells you if the sensor or cable is the problem.
-
Fitting. Mount the sensor on the same roof as the collector, ideally within 50 cm of the gutter. Remove excess cable rather than coiling it.
