📝 Description

The Oasis SmartChem is an automatic pool chemistry controller that works with the Oasis Smart system to test, monitor and hold your pool's pH by dosing acid through a peristaltic pump, and (AC1 model) to control chlorine levels by switching your chlorinator on and off using an ORP sensor.

Once the pH and ORP set points are entered in the Oasis Smart app, SmartChem doses pool acid only when it's needed and turns the chlorinator on or off to keep sanitiser levels in range. It dramatically cuts down on manual water testing and corrective dosing, and helps prevent skin irritation and red eyes while protecting your pool equipment.

Choose the AC1 for full pH and ORP (chlorine) control, or the AC1-pH for pH control only.

💡 Before You Buy

• Oasis Smart required. SmartChem connects to the Oasis Smart Pool and Spa Wi-Fi Control System and needs a free actuator port on it.
• Water balance first. The system works best with free chlorine 1–3 ppm, pH 7.2–7.8, total alkalinity 80–150, calcium hardness 150–300 ppm, zero phosphate and low stabiliser (0–15 ppm).
• Ongoing maintenance. Replace the squeeze tube every 12 months and clean the probes every 6 months. Squeeze tubes, acid feed hose, check valves and rotor assemblies are available as spare parts.

🔧 Our Tips

• Dilute your acid. Use hydrochloric acid diluted 2:1 to 3:1 (water to acid), and always add acid to water, never water to acid.
• Condition the probes. Soak the probes in a sample of pool water for 24 hours before installing them.
• Keep acid away from equipment. Keep the acid drum at least 1.8 m from the unit and other equipment, and vent the breather away from heat pumps.

❓ Common Questions

• What's the difference between AC1 and AC1-pH? The AC1 controls both pH and chlorine (ORP); the AC1-pH controls pH only.
• What ORP should I aim for? The ideal pool range is typically 650–750 mV.
• How often do the probes need calibrating? Clean them every six months and calibrate pH against a 7.01 buffer and ORP against a 470 mV buffer.

🛡️ Warranty Information

Limited 3 year back-to-base warranty on the controller from Sunlover / Oasis. pH and ORP probes, temperature sensors and valve actuators carry 12 months. Routine maintenance items are not covered.
